Ahhhh The endless void that is the Pursuit of Happiness!!! People search for it in everything.
Luke_12:34 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Some people try an find it in Money which becomes a chore to manage and everyone including the government is always trying to take it.
1Ti_6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
Some people try and find it in power or position which leads to narcissism and jealousy with everyone trying to take your position or undermine your efforts.
Gal_6:3 For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.
Some people try to find it in possessions which you have to maintain, they break, get stolen, depreciate and become worthless over time.
Mat_6:19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
Some people try and find it in other people which leads to co-dependency and drama or heart break or betrayal.
Psa_118:8 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.
Psa_146:3 Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.
Ultimately in this short life nothing will fill that void until you have a relationship with your creator that is eternal and will never never fade or perish.
Mat_6:20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
Psa_37:4 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
Job_22:26 For then shalt thou have thy delight in the Almighty, and shalt lift up thy face unto God.
Life is short, I mean Im going to be 50 this year! its flying like the wind and will be over in the blink of an eye. I scratch my head when I look at what everyone is hanging on too. This will all fade like a leaf so settle your eternal matters NOW because tomorrow does not have to come for anyone.
Jas_4:14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
Rom 10:8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

Rom 10:11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
Rom 10:12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
Rom 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Rom 10:14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
Rom 10:15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
